The design of this development was greatly influenced by the location of an existing sewer line, necessitating the implementation of a structural engineering solution to avoid any load bearing points across the driveway. The solution adopted was that of a large cantilever, which effectively eliminated any elements landing within a services easement. This constraint served as the governing factor in the design, ultimately dictating the overall size and scale of the architectural composition. The built form of the development is characterized by two distinct rectangular features, which are further accentuated by the incorporation of timber infills. This not only serves a functional purpose but also imbues the structure with a sense of visual interest and aesthetic appeal.
